During the first years of existence of the small mechanic’s workshop existence in Stuttgart, its founder, young engineer Robert Bosch, was not sure if the company would survive. Reality proved to be better than his expectations. He opened his first foreign branch in 1897, just one year after developed the electromagnetic ignition system, which made him famous in Europe.
